CDFA has announced round 1 grants for farmers and ranchers

Through a competitive solicitation to award projects that implement on-farm irrigation systems that reduce energy use resulting in greenhouse gas emission reductions and water savings through the State Water Efficiency and Enhancement Program (SWEEP).

Examples of projects include soil moisture monitoring system, real time remote field sensors, variable frequency drive, weather stations, and more.

Attend a workshop to learn more and receive help in applying.

July 5 11:30-2:00 p.m. (lunch included).  Held at the Sacramento County Farm Bureau 8970 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove.  RSVP by July 1.

July 21 11:30-2:00 p.m. (lunch included).  Held at the Hood Fire Station 1125 Hood Franklin Rd., Hood.  RSVP by July 19.

August 4 11:30-2:00 p.m. (lunch included).  Held at the Sacramento County Farm Bureau 8970 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove.  RSVP by August 1.
